What a cookie is

Cookies are small text files placed in your browser or on your device by the websites you visit. They let a site remember your preferences and offer you a more personalised experience.

Local storage does a similar job: the data stays in your own browser and is not sent to the server with every request.

02 · On this site

What this site actually stores

The nCoach website writes no cookie to recognise you. These are the records kept in your browser:

• Functional records: when you pick the dark or the light theme, your choice is written to your browser’s local storage and the same theme opens on your next visit. Your Turkish or English choice is written to the same place; on your next visit the site opens straight in that language. Neither record is ever sent to us.
• Strictly necessary cookies: the provider that keeps the site online writes one short lived technical cookie (about 30 minutes) to tell automated requests apart from real visitors. It does not identify you, produces no statistics, is not used for advertising and we do not read it. The pages themselves require no session.
• Performance and measurement cookies: none. We use no analytics tool that counts your visit.
• Marketing and targeting cookies: none. No record is shared with any advertising network.

03 · Purpose

What the records are for

Each record does exactly one job: one opens the page in the appearance you chose, the other in the language you chose. They are used for nothing else.

Who you are cannot be derived from them; no statistics are produced, no profile is built and they are shared with nobody.

04 · Managing it

How you manage it

You can delete or block cookies and site data from your browser settings at any time. If you block this site, the only thing you lose is the remembered theme and language; the pages still open.

Clearing your browser’s site data needs no action from us: the records were never on our side, they sit on yours.

05 · Outgoing requests

Third party requests

The typefaces on the page come from this site’s own server. When you open a page your browser connects to no third party address, so your IP address does not leave the site either.

There is no embedded third party content, advertising tag or social media tracker on the site. A store link is followed only if you click it.

06 · If this changes

When this text is updated

If we ever add measurement or any other cookie to the site, we update this page first and change the date at the top of it.

This page is always the one in force; no older copy is kept alongside it.
